I captured images of the kids several times over the last few years, but this was the first time I met Hazel, 9 days young, at the time :)

We spent part of the day at the beach this past Saturday - she had a blast! I literally couldn't get her to sit still or interested in the camera not even for a half a minute :))
Her favorite thing was to run and meet the waves and then run away - eventually she would sit around for just enough time to make a few big splashes and then run. ...and then we got to take turns with her at chasing waves and being chased by them :)
A few places you might consider checking out if you happen to be there... Cannon Beach has the best pizza (there is no better pizza than Pizza-a-Fetta as far as I - and many others - are concerned ;) There is no better salt water taffy than the peanut butter salt water taffy from Bruce's Candy Kitchen (Audrey will tell you that - it's her favorite flavor).
If you want to eat the most tasty, fresh and really the best fish and chips in Cannon Beach, you should definitely stop by Ecola Seafoods Restaurant and Market for lunch or dinner. You will not be sorry!
Just a few from today. Will post more in the coming week. My little beauty at 27 months :) We love her to pieces :)
"While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about."
Well, today's image is more of a tryptic, and it tells a lovely little story about a little girl that loves to run free and can find rocks even in unlikely places ;) ...This past spring we set for a short drive in the country to check out a new location. I loved the place and so did she!
Doesn't she look like her though? ...One of my most favorite models to date ;)
And since I like having a quote for each of my random photo posts, here is one of Jennifer Aniston, herself: “The greater your capacity to love, the greater your capacity to feel the pain.” And that is so true...
A smile costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None is so rich or mighty that he cannot get along without it and none is so poor that he cannot be made rich by it. Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give. ~Author Unknown

It has been a very rainy last few weeks, and I was more than happy to see the sun up, shining in the skies, this past Saturday.
I am not going to be taking a whole lot of pictures in the next several weeks, while I am waiting on my camera to be repaired, or until the new one comes. It is probably time to go back and start posting a few of the many images that sit dormant on the backups.
I can't say I am thankful that the camera broke, but for some reason I have a strong feeling that there is more to it than what meets the eye. We'll see :)
Beyond getting a better understanding of what the day meant historically, Thanksgiving Day and the celebration of Thanksgiving took new meanings for me after I came to America.
I am thankful everyday for the freedom and the possibilities God opened for me and all the gifts I have been given.
The gift of life, the gift of hope, the gift of having drinking water at my fingertips, the gift of choice about what I want to eat for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner or for a snack for that matter.
After the gift of life I am most thankful for my family - my dear Paul and our little munchikan :)
What are some of the things and gifts that you are thankful for?
It was a very windy and cold morning, the morning of this session, but this cute little man kept us on the move. I love sessions like this - they better and sharpen my skills and I can really capture my little subject's personality, because there is not a lot of posing going on. Well, there is the intention of setting up poses, and from there on I'm on my own :)
Sanda, you're a great mommy ;) Bringing along his favorite toys and furry little friends set us up for a great session! He was such a little trooper putting up with the cold and windy weather. Happy late birthday to you little Josh!
Photographing babies and young kids it's what's close to my heart, but it is sure nice to have subjects in front of the camera that do what you tell them to and don't try to outrun you :)
It was a beautiful afternoon and our 'traditional style' shoot was a really, really fun shoot.
I know you guys loved your sneak peek on Facebook. Here are a few more for your enjoyment ;) You are definitely a great looking family. It was really hard to narrow down the shots I was going to post.
So, see you next year, same time, same spot ;) By the way, that comment was a great compliment Mary :)
